A.B. Salem House
Located just down the lane from the Paradesi Synagogue, this historic home carries a 350-year legacy and has been carefully restored to prioritize stillness and privacy.
Originally the family home of Abraham Ben Barak – a prominent lawyer and activist famously known as the “Jewish Gandhi” – the building has remained a structural anchor in Mattancherry for generations. Today, it operates as an intimate retreat. With four thoughtfully designed rooms, the house feels more like a private residence than a hotel.
